The NSI CommunityMilwaukee Brewers entered Tuesday night's game at American Family Field against the visiting Tampa Bay Rays riding a three-game losing streak and feeling salty.

Monday night's 1-0 defeat included a controversial call in the bottom of the ninth inning. Brewers manager Pat Murphy earned an ejection while arguing the game-deciding umpire decision.

Murphy earned an ejection in a second consecutive game Tuesday as emotions were high in the second contest of a three-game set against a Rays team the Brewers have little to no history against (just 21 meetings all time, including Tuesday night's game).

Murphy was ejected alongside starting pitcher Freddy Peralta during the sixth inning after the Brewers' staff ace hit Jose Siri in the leg on a 3-0 count.

Two innings later and with the Brewers holding a six-run lead, Siri was in the middle of a benches-clearing brouhaha after a pedestrian ground out to first base. After first baseman Rhys Hoskins fielded Siri's ground ball, he tossed it to relief pitcher Abner Uribe at the bag for the easy, routine out.

Well, not quite so routine. Siri and Uribe exchanged words. Uribe attempted to hit Siri and Siri responded with a shot of his own. Hoskins got in the middle of the donnybrook, and players from both teams' dugouts and bullpens rushed to the on-field scrap.

Uribe was escorted from the scene into the dugout and eventually the clubhouse, but not before getting a cup of refreshing Gatorade. The dust-up didn't escalate, order was eventually restored, and Siri and Uribe were ejected. Uribe was relieved on the mound by Hoby Milner and Siri was replaced in the Rays' lineup by Niko Goodrum.

Milner and Thyago Vieira managed to get the final five outs of the game as the Brewers prevailed, 8-2.
